Tryin to make list!

Hi there, so i have seen all over not to go to a store without a list. Which is a very true statement... But like my first time out, I came acrossed awesome deals for close out items at my local Food Lion. They had reynolds heavy duty foil 37.5sq ft, mark down to $1.79, well that past weekends paper had coupons for $1.00 off reynolds foil 30sq ft or larger. So i bought 2 got them for .79 each, they had pantene pro-v shampoos at $1.49 and i had a coupon for $3.00 off when you bought two so I only paid the tax on them. So while a list is a good thing, always be on the look out for closeout or clearence items at every store cause you never no when you will have a coupon to make it an even sweeter deal. Dont be like those crazy people on TV with a stock pile more than they need, buy what you and your family actually use. Couponing has made me able to get things now that before i just couldnt afford. I have came to the choice that for now as long as i save atleast 40% I am good. Cause unlike what they show on TV most American families eat meat. Out of all the shows I have watched I think the only one time did someone buy meat and it was 20 pork chops. Dont know about yall but if i fed my husband porkchops for a week solid he would not be to happy with me, and more than likely would spend more money to go eat out some were. Then in the long run we didnt save anything. I think it is just basic common sense, first thing is first you need coupons. So buy a newspaper, print them whatever but you are going to need them. Publix stores have a Green Advantage booklets, that have coupons in them. You can use a Publix coupon with a manufacters coupon on one item. I got ziploc storage containers 4ct for $1.39 each with stacking coupons.
